What is Perplexity Enterprise Pro?
Enterprise Pro is the second most expensive and feature-rich plan (after Enterprise Max) of Perplexity, an AI-powered search and answering engine. Perplexity is AI model-agnostic, which means that, in addition to its proprietary Sonar, the Pro plan lets you use other popular LLMs, such as ChatGPT-5, Claude Sonnet 4.5, or Gemini 2.5 Pro.
Key features of Perplexity Enterprise Pro:
- Multiple AI models
- Focus on web and proprietary data search
- More precise answers with citations
- Automated model selection
- App connectors to Google Drive, Dropbox, GitHub, and more
- Crunchbase, FactSect, and Wiley integration
- Comet browser
- API for team, usage, cost management, and complex tasks
- Ask MCP server
Overall, Perplexity Enterprise Pro is a strong option for companies of all sizes. However, currently available security and privacy options lack AI guardrails, which can be a deal breaker for some organizations.
Feature comparison: nexos.ai vs Perplexity Enterprise Pro
Comparing nexos.ai vs Perplexity Enterprise Pro features reveals that the former offers more options for managing, observing, and securing AI traffic. However, the latter has its own unique features, such as Crunchbase integration or the Comet browser. In this section, we take a deep dive into the capabilities of Perplexity Enterprise Pro and nexos.ai to determine which tool brings more to the table.
AI models
nexos.ai gives you access to over 200 AI models. These include all popular ones (ChatGPT-5, Claude Sonnet 4.5, Gemini 2.5 Pro) along with lesser-known LLMs, such as Qwen 3, Mistral, and Llama 4. Image-generating AIs, such as Imagen 4, DALL-E 3, and GPT-Image-1, are also available.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro offers the following models: Sonar Pro (ten times more sources compared to regular Sonar), Sonar Reasoning, Sonar Reasoning Pro, and Sonar Deep Research. Additionally, you get ChatGPT-5, ChatGPT-5 Thinking, Claude Sonnet 4.5, Claude Sonnet 4.5 Thinking, and Gemini 2.5 Pro – models that top many LLM benchmarks.
For image generation, you can use Imagen 4, DALL-E 3, and GPT Image 1. And if you want to edit images, Nano Banana (Gemini 2.5 Flash) is there for you.
There’s also o3-pro and Claude 4.1 Opus Thinking, but these are reserved for the top-tier Enterprise Max subscribers.
You can also use the Best mode, which is optimized for speed and web browsing, letting Perplexity do the LLM evaluation by choosing the model for you.
Those going with Perplexity integration via API will only receive the proprietary LLMs, while nexos.ai still offers the full selection.
Regardless of the platform you choose, you can expect to encounter examples of AI hallucinations, as these are inherent to the LLM architecture. However, nexos.ai lets you tweak model temperature, and lowering it decreases the chances of AI making things up.
To sum up, nexos.ai offers many more AI models, and none of them are locked in a pricier plan.
Control over AI model workflows and orchestration
Both nexos.ai and Perplexity Enterprise Pro offer multi-model AI orchestration, allowing you to manage, coordinate, and integrate all LLMs, data flow, resources, and policies. That being said, nexos.ai offers more than that: it’s a full-fledged AI platform that provides robust control and a security layer.
The Voice mode is available on both nexos.ai and Perplexity Enterprise Pro. This means you can use the tools hands-free and get answers in audio, along with links and extra information on screen. Currently, Perplexity Enterprise Pro supports answers in 35 languages, while nexos.ai offers English only.
At the same time, nexos.ai feels more raw than Perplexity, in that it has fewer features and settings to tweak, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on how deeply you want to dive into customization. Let’s discuss how using AI models with each platform works in more detail.
nexos.ai – using AI models
For starters, nexos.ai enables you to compare AI outputs side by side. This is especially convenient when you need the best result as quickly as possible or want to combine the answers. With Perplexity, you’ll need to repeat the query and scroll up and down for comparison.
nexos.ai Chat also offers Advanced options that may be of interest to power users. I discuss them in detail in the section dedicated to extra settings and customizations.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro – using AI models
Perplexity Enterprise Pro and nexos.ai allow web search, but the former lets you narrow it down to academic papers or SEC filings.
While both nexos.ai and Perplexity Enterprise Pro have reasoning AI models available, nexos.ai has a toggle option to turn on Reasoning for any LLM of your choice. First of all, it shows its step-by-step thought process. This transparency can help you determine where the model deviates and how you can improve your follow-up query. But most importantly, it provides better responses.
In the meantime, Perplexity Enterprise Pro comes with Research mode (500 uses/day), which includes reasoning, but the AI model is selected automatically. This option is great for in-depth reports, which can be exported as PDF, DOCX, or Markdown documents or turned into Perplexity Pages and shared with other users. You can even rewrite them with the LLM of your choice.
Next to that, Perplexity Enterprise Pro also has a new feature called Labs (50 queries/day). It lets you quickly create projects and turn ideas into documents, slides, dashboards, or even apps.
I asked it to create the latter for monitoring the stock of the tech Big Four. Perplexity began its work by showing a step-by-step process, using Python, and storing data in JSON format. Later, it prepared HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files and placed them all under the Assets category for easy download or copying.
Finally, I got the dashboard under the App category with price history graphs, a comparison table, and other key statistics. However, Perplexity said that the interface features a “modern dark theme,” which wasn’t the case. It also stated that the dashboard is live, but I saw the same old results after multiple page refresh attempts.
While nexos.ai doesn’t have something like Labs yet, that doesn’t mean it can’t create a stock market dashboard. After using the same prompt for Claude Opus 4.1 Thinking model, I got a hardcore HTML chart that was actually black and real-time.
Perplexity also has more search options than nexos.ai. In addition to toggling Web search, you can narrow it down to Academic, Social, or Finance sources.
Also, you can choose to include either all files uploaded by your organization or just yours. Finally, you can add and synchronize data from a dozen connectors, including Google Drive, Outlook, GitHub, Slack, and more.
Projects and Spaces
nexos.ai Projects and Perplexity Enterprise Pro Spaces are collaboration environments where users can work together and share files. However, there are some key differences between them.
nexos.ai Projects
Projects is a memory and structure layer of nexos.ai, which offers a shared workspace that remembers all conversations, uploads, and instructions. This helps maintain continuity and reuse knowledge across separate tasks. As a result, all outputs are in-context, be it a style guide or a database, even if you switch the LLMs in mid-point.
nexos.ai Projects can benefit different teams. Marketers can create copy that adheres to the company’s tone of voice, engineers can automate troubleshooting and code generation, while salespeople can personalize pitches based on previous customer interactions.
Projects supports popular file formats, such as doc, xls, txt, pdf, ppt, csv, json, xml, md, jpg, png, and svg, but audio and video formats are not there yet. Each can be up to 20MB in size.
You can also set up the Project creativity level, which essentially is an LLM temperature setting that controls how predictable and consistent the results should be.
Finally, Projects can be shared with teams or separate users. You can also give either edit or view-only access.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro Spaces
Spaces let you start afresh or use one of Perplexity’s templates. At the time of writing this nexos.ai vs Perplexity Enterprise Pro review, there were 38 templates to choose from.
Some of the examples include Crypto Coin Explorer for up-to-date coin overviews, Investor Prep Question Generator that spits out five questions to ask the company you’re about to invest in, or a Writing Coach that improves your text’s tone, spelling, and grammar. Perplexity users can also share Threads (their branded name for chats) with conversations inside Spaces.
Starting anew, you can add files, links, and instructions to your Space. Files can be either locally stored or available from connectors, such as Google Drive, with continuous synchronization.
There’s a 500-file limit per Space and a 50MB limit per file. Supported file types include docx, xlsx, csv, pptx, pdf, md, json, txt, png, webp, jpeg, gif, mp3, wav, and mp4.
Adding links is done one by one, and instructions are entered free-form on how the output should be formulated and structured.
You can invite members to your Space (although there’s no option to do that for teams) or make it available to anyone in the organization with the link. The number of collaborators is unlimited.
AI Assistants
nexos.ai allows you to create AI assistants, whereas Perplexity Enterprise users receive this feature with the Max plan only. Unlike basic chatbots, an assistant can help automate repetitive tasks, integrate with multiple systems, and offer other advanced capabilities. They are often used for customer support to save your employees’ time or help software engineers review code and find bugs.
The main difference between the AI assistants of these platforms is that nexos.ai provides a general-purpose assistant, which is more akin to a custom-tailored chatbot in its nature. At the same time, Perplexity integrates with your email and calendar, allowing you to label your inbox and automate draft generation.
nexos.ai Assistants
Creating an assistant with nexos.ai is simple and takes just a few steps:
- 1.Choose your preferred AI model
- 2.Enable or disable web search
- 3.Write instructions
- 4.Add knowledge from one of the Projects (optional)
- 5.Choose the creativity (temperature) level
For testing purposes, I uploaded Meta’s privacy policy and asked the assistant when they can share private message content with third parties. My selected Claude Sonnet 4.5 diligently followed the instructions and explained everything sans legal mumbo-jumbo.
You can share your Assistants with specific colleagues or teams. What I’ve missed, however, is the option to see only those chats that were started with a particular Assistant. Now they can easily get lost if you use nexos.ai on a daily basis.
Task automation
Currently, nexos.ai doesn’t offer any features that can help automate some of your work. In contrast, Perplexity Enterprise Pro gives you Tasks that “deliver the right content at the right time.” This can range from a morning news digest to a weekly roundup of new streaming releases.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro – task automation
Here you have two options. A Scheduled task lets you pick how often you should get the update and whether it’s in-app, email, web, or all three. Finally, you select the Mode, Model, and Source, just as you would for a regular query.
To try out this Perplexity Enterprise Pro feature, I asked it to send me a motivational phrase every morning that would deliver me from chatting with my colleagues instead of starting to work long and hard.
And what do you know, next morning I got some inspo: "The best way to get ahead is to get started—let action today be the reason for progress tomorrow," which was taken from a LinkedIn post and, probably falsely, attributed to Mark Twain.
In the meantime, a Price alert lets you choose from tokens, funds, and stocks. The alert criteria can be either a shift in the target price or a percentage movement. By default, you get an explanation of what factors drove this change within the last few weeks.
You can also add extra instructions, such as checking the news and social media for sentiment. However, when I chose to receive notifications only about price increases of 5% or more, the non-editable default query didn’t change. Therefore, I also received a notification about a 5% decrease.
Notifications
Currently, nexos.ai doesn’t offer the ability to send notifications. In the meantime, Perplexity Enterprise Pro can inform you via email about a finished Deep research, which can sometimes take more than a few minutes, or send a personalized Finance digest.
Discover
Discover is a section in Perplexity Enterprise Pro that acts as a sort of home page. Here, you can view the latest headlines, stock market updates, and weather forecasts in the form of shared Threads.
You can customize the feed according to your interests, such as Finance, Sports, or Entertainment. Also, you can bookmark, like, dislike, or add offered articles to your Space.
However, Discover is an auto-loading feed, so stay clear of it if you’re prone to doomscrolling.
Extra settings and customizations
Perplexity Enterprise Pro offers more ways to personalize your account than nexos.ai in general.
However, nexos.ai has advanced options for each AI model output, such as temperature or the maximum number of completion tokens, that will benefit power users.
Whether the number of knobs and buttons is a significant drawback or not depends solely on you and your team. Here’s a detailed comparison of things you can tweak on both platforms.
nexos.ai customization options
nexos.ai has some basic settings you can toggle, such as:
- Select from 200+ AI models
- Compare model output
- Light or Dark mode
- Streaming – the answer is typed out or shown in full right away
- Auto-expand reasoning – show thinking steps
- Creativity level – AI temperature
- Copy output to clipboard
nexos.ai also provides Advanced options for LLM outputs. Depending on the model, these might include some or all of the following:
- Temperature – how much creativity or randomness is allowed (high temperature leads to more AI hallucinations)
- Max completion tokens – how extensive the answer can be (one token is about four characters in the English language)
- N of responses – how many chat completion choices are generated for each input message
- Top P – allows the model to consider only the most probable tokens until their combined probability reaches a selected value
- Frequency penalty – tells the model not to repeat an exact word that has already been used multiple times in the conversation
- Presence penalty – reduces the likelihood of selecting tokens that have already appeared in the conversation
- Quality – image quality
- Image size – square, portrait, landscape
Other nexos.ai settings are located under the Management, Observability, and Guardrails tabs, which we’ll discuss in detail in the Account Management section below, as they’re part of another product, AI Gateway.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro customization options
Perplexity Enterprise Pro offers numerous features and tweaks that help you use it effectively. Let’s start with the options related to input and output:
- Share Link – a link to the output
- Export – export answer in PDF, Markdown, or DOCX
- Rewrite – rewrite the answer using either Research or Labs mode, or another AI model
- Metadata – info about the search mode, model, last update date, and sources used
- Answer rating – rate as helpful or unhelpful
- Report – report the answer to Perplexity as inaccurate, harmful, or having other negativities
And here are the options that you can reach from the Accounts & Settings section:
- Appearance – Light, Dark, System
- Autosuggest – dropdown and tab-complete suggestions while typing a query
- Homepage widgets – personalized
- AI data retention – enterprise customers are automatically excluded
- Personalization – write a few sentences about yourself, set your location, and add sports teams or companies to your Watchlists
Account management
In this broad section, I’ll discuss the administrative side of nexos.ai and Perplexity Enterprise Pro, as both platforms are designed for multi-user environments.
When it comes to nexos.ai, the user and the admin parts are separated into two products, named Workspace and Gateway, respectively. As their names imply, the former is the environment where users and teams collaborate, while the latter is reserved for those who have full control over nexos.ai deployment and administration.
While Perplexity Enterprise Pro doesn’t offer an AI gateway, it has some features commonly found on such platforms. Also, it’s not a drawback per se because first and foremost, it’s an end-user productivity tool for organizations that doesn’t try to become something else. For this reason, there’s no winner or loser in this account management part of our comparison.
In the following section, I discuss nexos.ai AI Gateway in more detail, presenting its main features and functionalities.
nexos.ai AI Gateway
With nexos.ai AI Gateway, you can implement AI guardrails, which are essential for secure model usage. Moreover, you can track costs, prompts, and usage patterns. In other words, you get full LLM observability.
Also, nexos.ai Gateway stores user uploads and model outputs in a centralized, access-controlled environment. Then you have a built-in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for context-aware responses.
With intelligent caching, you can also reduce latency and save tokens for similar or repeat queries. If needed, this can be adjusted on the user or team level.
Additionally, it’s possible to deploy LLM agents for complex tasks that support agentic workflows, such as LangChain.
The nexos.ai AI Gateway operates in a plug-and-play mode, allowing you to connect your apps and products using a single integration. This enables you to generate API keys for users, teams, or services, facilitating simple AI orchestration.
To sum up, nexos.ai Gateway gives you redundancy, resilience, built-in observability, security, filtering, model flexibility, and cost control.
nexos.ai AI Gateway – observability
The Observability tab is divided into two sections. Metrics contains more than 20 dashboards with stats, such as token usage per model, total cost, or image requests. You can filter the data by date, user, team, or API key.
Next, we have Logs that show all API calls, including used model, cost, input and output tokens, and the user. This data can be filtered by time, model, user, or team.
nexos.ai AI Gateway – Guardrails
One of the key features needed for secure AI usage is guardrails. nexos.ai offers just that, checking whether inputs or outputs contain any sensitive information. The control is done via two validators.
The first one, named No PII, detects data such as credit card numbers, IP addresses, bank account numbers, or passports. You can select whether to trigger the guardrail in input, output, or both. Then, you can either label it or make the LLM fail the prompt entirely.
The second one, dubbed Regex match, allows you to set custom rules that are triggered either when a specific keyword is found in the prompt or when it matches the entire prompt. For example, nexos.ai Guardrails can detect email addresses, described as [any character]@[anycharacter].[anycharacter].
Perplexity Enterprise Pro account management
You can manage Perplexity Enterprise Pro accounts via the Accounts & Settings section. All the options are under the Enterprise sub-menu:
- Enable Search History
- Invite link – generate a link for a new member to join
- User Access – SSO and SCIM (requires Enterprise Max)
- Permissions – file, sharing, and connector permissions
- Organization-level connectors – Finance (SEC filings), Wiley (data on publishing, education, and research), and Crunchbase (data on companies, founders, and funding)
There are also other options, such as setting data retention for Threads and auditing log settings, but these are reserved for the top-tier Perplexity Enterprise Max plan. And if you want to access dashboards that show your team's activity, you need at least 50 seats filled.
Overall, Perplexity Enterprise Pro account management offers a wide range of features to toggle, but lacks in security features.
Help and customer support
At the moment, Perplexity Enterprise Pro offers more help resources than nexos.ai. But that’s understandable, as it has more tiny things to tweak and has been on the market for three more years.
nexos.ai self-help and customer support
nexos.ai has its help center segmented into three parts. Docs contain the most essential information on how to use different features, organized in a step-by-step style, along with visual cues.
There’s also a Changelog documenting the latest updates. Here you’ll also find a feature request form.
The last section, named Models, describes the available LLMs, providing information about their hosting location, context window, knowledge cutoff date, and other valuable details.
But most importantly, you get the customer support chat. It’s not 24/7, but Perplexity doesn’t have that either.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro self-help and customer support
Perplexity Enterprise Pro features a comprehensive Get Started section, complete with videos, articles, and live training sessions. Their Help Center is also huge, with over 130 articles neatly categorized into sections, such as Product Features, Troubleshooting & Support, or Data Subject Privacy Requests.
Perplexity also features a regularly updated Changelog, which includes two or three monthly posts, as well as a Blog that provides more detailed descriptions of important news.
There are also a few Keyboard shortcuts for starting a new Thread, toggling Incognito mode, or… showing keyboard shortcuts.
The Enterprise version also has a whole collection of pages on Perplexity’s website, putting everything under one roof. The same applies to the Perplexity API Platform.
Then there’s a separate Perplexity AI’s Trust Center for security and privacy questions. Here you can request access to various policies, compliance reports, and other resources. You also get a list of active controls, such as enforced remote access encryption, security awareness trainings for their employees, annual penetration tests, and the deletion of all customer data upon leaving.
Another resource is a Discord community where Perplexity users share their knowledge.
Finally, you can send a message via customer service chat, although it doesn’t say whether live communication is available. Nevertheless, dedicated enterprise support comes with the Pro plan.
Pricing
There’s no way to compare the Perplexity Enterprise Pro vs nexos.ai pricing. For starters, the latter has no payment plans, only “Get a free trial” and “Request a demo” options. And even if it did, the platforms are too different to say that one is cheaper than the other or anything like that.
nexos.ai pricing
At the moment, the nexos.ai platform doesn’t offer any pricing plans. However, you can get a free trial and test it without spending a dime. There’s also an option to request a demo.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro pricing
Perplexity Enterprise Pro costs $40/month or $400/year per seat, with a separate API pricing.
1,000 Search API requests cost $5, while input and output token pricing varies between Perplexity AI models. So, 1 million Sonar tokens is $1, but Sonar Pro sells for $3.
Request pricing is influenced not only by the model but also by the context size. For example, 1,000 low-context Sonar requests cost $5, while Sonar Reasoning Pro with a high context size will require $14.

Once more, I want to emphasize that nexos.ai and Perplexity Enterprise Pro are platforms of different types, and one cannot be presented as better than the other. While some features and functions overlap, the “winner” depends on what you’re actually looking for. Also, the top-tier Perplexity Enterprise Max plan adds some features, such as audit logging, which might be the last piece you need.
nexos.ai vs Perplexity Enterprise Pro: Use cases and ideal scenarios
nexos.ai is universal enough to fit multiple use cases. Its Workspace part enables employees and teams to collaborate efficiently, while the Gateway serves as a platform for managing all infrastructure.
Marketing teams can implement nexos.ai to draft copy and research SEO keywords, while customer support will be able to create personalized replies based on specific knowledge bases.
Also, the HR department can utilize nexos.ai to evaluate candidate applications, analyze employee surveys, and pull info from internal docs. Legal teams will benefit from summarizing lengthy contracts, while data people can build reports from raw information using SQL queries.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro positions itself as a tool that provides your employees with fast, up-to-date, and reliable answers to their most complex questions.
With it, product teams can accelerate development cycles, automate repetitive tasks, and make strategic decisions with less manual effort. Meanwhile, engineers can eliminate manual code reviews and utilize shared GitHub connectors.
The platform also helps harness AI in marketing automation, offering numerous benefits, including searchable knowledge, real-time insights, brainstorming, automated market research, and copywriting. In the meantime, investors will be happy with the latest information about stocks and the option to create custom dashboards.
So, is nexos.ai better than Perplexity Enterprise Pro in this regard? Well, both have many use cases, but the former offers more tools to manage AI across your institution.
nexos.ai vs Perplexity Enterprise Pro: Choosing the right platform for your enterprise AI stack
The answer to the question, which is better – nexos.ai or Perplexity Enterprise Pro, depends more on your needs than on their features. Plus, our comprehensive analysis has shown that these platforms are aimed at different audiences.
Go for nexos.ai if you need an all-in-one AI platform for your organization that supports hundreds of models and lets you compare their outputs in a secure environment. You’ll also receive guardrails, LLM fallback logic, RAG support, and full observability into how your employees and teams utilize AI.
Pick Perplexity Enterprise Pro if you’re less interested in the user management part and want a sophisticated research tool with image editing, advanced web search, and task automation. To add data retention for separate Threads or audit logging, you’ll need at least one Enterprise Max account first, though.
Curious how nexos.ai stacks up against other AI tools? We have also compared nexos.ai with the following products:
